Presidents Weekend

Coeur d' Alene lake. So beauitful, even though it was freezing.

We spent Friday morning at the lake and at this really cool park. It was all made out of wood and there were tons of nooks and crannys. It was a lot of fun

There were five moose all over the town the kids loved running up to them and finding them. This one was really cute.

We were at the park and this squirrel was super hungry, it kept coming up to see and eating goldfish right out of our hands. It was really cool to see one up close. Mylee didnt understand the whole lets be quiet and wait for it to come to us. She caught on eventually. I think we gave the squirrel a whole bag of fish.

They really didnt want their picture taken, but its kind of cute. I love Maggie and Mylee, they had the best weekend with each other. They were best friends.

The lake again.Saturday afternoon we watched Emily play basketball. She did soo great. She scored 24 points!! Thats awesome! It was so much fun cheering for her and watching her play. She's going to be a great player.

Sunday morning we went to the Temple. It was the smallest temple I have ever seen. It took us five minutes to walk around the whole thing. It was right next to a church and I think they were the same size. I was so surprised. And I have even seen it before.

We went to this really awesome park called Riverfront Park. It was so much fun. It would have been better had it not been so cold, but it was a gorgeous place.

Some blocks at the park. Spokane was such a nice city. The buildings were so amazing, they had the best looks. Every place I saw I kept saying how cool it would be to take our pictures in front of it.

Mylee called the clock tower behind her Rapunzels tower and that we needed to climb it to save her. When we walked away she kept saying bye Rapunzel. It was cute.

Some beautiful falls at the Riverfront park. Next time we go to visit Rashelle, which will be in the warmer weather, we want to spend more time at this park. There was a lot to do and they have a gondola that would be so much fun to ride. Next time.

Emily and Paul Bunyon. We had there burgers on Friday night. They actually tasted pretty good and their shakes tasted like Burger Bars. It was really yummy. Colton loved their onion rings.

Over Presidents day weekend we drove to visit Rashelle and Danny and the girls. We left Thursday at 2 and I drove to Idaho Falls. Colton drove the rest of the way, which was a long time. We hit some snow and then we hit the canyon right before Post Falls and I was a nervous wreck. It was snowing so bad. We couldnt see anything. It was awful. My mom and I just had our eyes closed basically the whole time. Colton did great though! He got us there safe and sound. Thanks babe. Mylee did pretty good with the drive. She had one little break down, but as soon as she fell asleep she was pretty good. Gabe did good too, he just sat there and didnt whine when Mylee just wanted to hold his hand.

So we got there and Thursday night our air mattress kept deflating. Worst sleep ever. I would have been more comfortable just sleeping on the floor, at least then I wouldnt have had an air mattress in my face. I finally crawled in bed with Mylee. haha Friday we went to Coeur d' Alene lake and wandered around there and then we went to the park. Then we hit up down town CDA. It was such a cute down town. We went back to Rashelle's house for lunch and to get ready for Hailey's sleepover. Let me just tell you, Mylee wont have a sleepover with more than two girls. Hailey had 8 plus the three sisters, plus Mylee and Gabe was there too. So yeah things got a little hectic. And the girls are ten and they were calling boys until 12:30. Wow. And one of the girls brought their laptops so a few of them were on that instead of playing with the rest of the girls. I didnt think that was too good. But the girls who participated seem to have fun. We painted nails, Colton even painted some and he did great, we did facials, we made bath salts, ours smells so good, we played minute to win it games and then we danced. I think they all had fun, but I was pretty beat by 12.

Saturday we made doughnuts for breakfast and then Colton Mylee Mom Rashelle and I went back to downtown CDA and we hit up an antique shop. The store was huge and it took us an hour to go through. My mom found out some dolls she has are worth a lot of money as well as a lamp they found. So thats pretty awesome. Then we watched Emily play basketball. She is so good at it! She was the best one on the team, maybe I am a little bias though. We went back to Rashelles and we all kind of just crashed we were so tired from the night before. Colton and I went to CDA again to go see a movie, but by the time we got there they were sold out, so we got Coldstone instead. It was fun to go out in a town we havent been to before and just wander.

Sunday we went to Spokane. We hit up the temple and then riverfront park. Then we went to Liberty Lake to look at the big houses up there. That was pretty awesome. I love looking at houses. Then we saw some elk. They have random animals up there. Then we made some awesome bread and dinner and then just rested for the evening. We got packed and cleaned up a little. Monday morning bright and early we started the drive home. Mylee and Gabe were pretty good just watching movies and coloring. I however did not want to be in the car anymore. Once we hit Tremonton it was all I could do to not complain. Plus Mylee and Gabe kept touching each other and doing what kids do to annoy each other. But we finally made it home. I am so glad we were able to go up there and visit them. But next time we go we will go during the summer when its warm.
